A Day In the Life

Hi there! My name is Nicole Armi, and I am an enterprise account manager at GoSite. As an account manager, no two days look the same. However, this article gives you a taste of a typical Monday in the life of Nicole.

7:00am - 8:00am: Good Morning, World!

Commence the morning routine! It includes—but isn’t limited to—brushing my teeth, performing my skincare routine, having some coffee, making my bed, changing out of my pjs, and giving my cat a hug…yes Boujee loves her morning hugs!

8:00am - 9:00am: Team Meeting and Emails

Our six-person Enterprise Team meeting starts off with a question of the day. Each Monday in April we focused on the SPIRE model of well-being (Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual, Relational, and Emotional). Each team member chose an aspect to focus on and refine each week.

For example, last week I chose “relational.” I had several scheduled client meetings, so it was important to foster and build these professional relationships and tailor custom review generation strategies to set them up for success going into the summer. In addition, I had a chance to see my college roommates (go Badgers!) and had a ton of catching up to do. So honing in on strong relational practices served me well.

9:00am - 12:00am: Building and Customizing Dashboards

As an enterprise account manager, I’m bonded to my multi-location clients from their very first kick-off call with GoSite and throughout their entire customer journey. I dedicate Monday mornings to my clients in the implementation process.

The implementation process consists of a series of Zoom meetings: Kick Off, Dashboard Walkthrough, Strategy, and Launch. Each meeting comes with a separate set of action items for the client and account manager to accomplish to ensure each GoSite account is customized, optimized and has a tailored strategy post-implementation.

Action items for myself, the account manager, can include building GoSite dashboards, creating shareable link review generation sites, or customizing review links for clients with up to 30 locations.

12:00pm - 1:00pm: Workout and Lunch

Working remotely has its perks... and this is one of them!

Monday through Friday you can catch me clipping into my Peloton for an Alex Toussaint ride for a quick workout. (I also may or may not be busting a move to one of his hip hop playlists.)

Not going to lie, I’m a boring lunch-er. I have an apple with peanut butter and a premixed salad 99% of my days. But hey! I know what I like.

1:00pm - 1:30pm: Flex Time and Preparation for Afternoon Meetings

For this thirty minute segment, I typically catch up on client emails, tie up any loose ends for implementation, troubleshoot product questions, and do other miscellaneous tasks.

Prior to my client Zoom meetings, I do my homework. I review previous notes in our CRM and log into their GoSite account to see noteworthy progress from the past month. Based on the information I gather, I make an outline of what we should discuss.

1:30pm - 3:00pm: Back-to-Back Client Zoom Meetings

If you’re in client success, sales, support, or another client-facing department, you know the drill. Not every day is identical. Sometimes you have back to back meetings in the afternoon. Sometimes you have a couple of calls sprinkled in the morning. Sometimes your vocal chords get a break, and you have no calls! Personally, I like to group mine together in the afternoons if possible.

Client Zoom meetings (post-implementation) typically include a check-in on review strategy and  launches of review contests. In addition, I subscribe to industry newsletters and attend webinars to ensure I’m up to date to share any and all strategy suggestions and best practices.

One key point here. I ALWAYS have my camera on. 93 percent of communication is non-verbal. This in mind, I strongly believe that by adding a layer of video deepens the professional relationship and humanizes the whole experience. And if you have a pet appear on your screen, you bet I’m going to ask all about them.

4:00pm - 5:00pm: Internal Coordination

My team is evolving and growing—and this means I get to have a hand in shaping its future. My current focus is on revising email templates and snippets to streamline and refine the implementation process.

5:00pm and Beyond: Logging Off!

At this time, my computer gets put to sleep for the night, and I begin my evening! On Mondays I go to the chiropractor and cook dinner for me and my boyfriend. After that, I always try to walk to the beach to catch those mouth watering San Diego sunsets.

That wraps up a glimpse into a typical day in my life! My role here at GoSite allows me the flexibility of structuring each day as needed. I love people—relationships are a huge deal for me to thrive personally and professionally.
